Grand Organization of Startup Awareness Workshop at OSGU

Haryana/Hisar: Om Sterling Global University (OSGU), under the aegis of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Haryana, and 'Startup Haryana', organized a one-day sensitization and awareness workshop for young people interested in startups and incubators. The main objective of this program was to familiarize students and budding entrepreneurs with the financial schemes and government facilities available under the 'Haryana Startup Policy 2022'.
The University's Chancellor, Dr. Puneet Goyal, and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Poonam Goyal, appreciated this initiative, stating that today's era is one of innovation and entrepreneurship. Our aim is not only to make students job-ready but also to develop them as job creators. The Haryana government's startup policy and this university platform provide our youth with a golden opportunity to translate their creativity into reality.
We want OSGU students to play a leading role in realizing the dream of a self-reliant India. Mr. Prasoon Mathur (Startup Haryana) and Mr. Sandeep (Startup Haryana) participated as keynote speakers in the workshop. They specifically guided students and young people who have started their own startups within the last two years or who are planning to start a new business.
The experts explained how the Haryana government is promoting innovation in the state by providing financial grants and infrastructure. The University's Vice-Chancellor, Dr. NP Kaushik, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Rajendra Singh Chillar, and Registrar, Dr. Satyavir Singh, also participated in the workshop and encouraged students to think outside the box. They stated that technical skills and proper guidance are the backbone of any startup's success.
In today's digital age, the Haryana government's Startup Policy 2022 is like a shield and a source of strength for the youth. Students should take advantage of these schemes and fearlessly take steps towards commercializing their research and ideas. Following the university's tradition, the chief guest and officials from Startup Haryana were welcomed with a plant and a memento. A 'Business Quiz' was also organized during the workshop, in which participants were asked technical questions related to starting a business.
Entrepreneurs already associated with Startup Haryana also participated in this workshop, shared their experiences with the students, and felicitated the successful participants. The workshop conveners, Dr. Seema Ghanghas and Dharmveer, informed that approximately 230 students and entrepreneurs from the university and other colleges participated in the program.
Dr. Seema Ghanghas, who conducted the proceedings, stated that Om Sterling Global University has always been committed to providing new opportunities to its students. On this occasion, the Dean of the Commerce Department, Dr. Kuldeep, Dr. Yuvraj, Public Relations Officer Saurav Sharma, and the deans and heads of all departments, along with a large number of students, were present.
