Government Teachers Union condemns police action on NSQF teachers
Hoshiarpur, August 1:- Government Teachers Union Block Kot Fatuhi has strongly condemned the action taken by the police during the protest of NSQF teachers in Sangrur.
Block President of the union Narinder Ajnoha and General Secretary Unkar Singh said that NSQF teachers, who have been serving in government schools through the outsourcing system for more than eleven years, were peacefully holding a "Pol Khol Rally" in Sangrur demanding regularization of their rights and services. They alleged that during this, the police harassed the teachers and also harassed the female teachers.
The leaders said that before coming to power, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had claimed that the employees would not have to hold protests and their problems would be resolved with "green pens". But now taking police action against teachers who are struggling for their rights is against the promises of the government.
He said that the leaders who used to join the struggles of the employees and promise permanent employment, today after coming to power, they are trying to suppress the struggles through the police.
The union leaders demanded from the government that all the teachers working under the NSQF teachers, including the teachers working under the NSQF, should be immediately regularized, thus fulfilling their election promise.
Sanjeev Kumar, Vikas Sharma, Malkit Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Lehmber Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Bakhtawar Singh, Babu Om Dutt, Jatinder Singh, Harvinder Singh and other members were also present on the occasion.
