Government school students visit government offices under Chetna Project

Patiala, July 9:- Under the unique initiative ‘Chetna Project’ launched by the Patiala District Administration, students of Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Model Town today visited the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
On this occasion, the students had a special meeting with Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal. The Deputy Commissioner said that the main objective of this visit was to familiarize the students with the process of government work, administrative structure and working methods of various departments.
Dr. Agarwal said that such visits prove to be very beneficial for the students in the future. This not only increases their self-confidence, but also gives them an opportunity to set their career goals and understand the administrative system.
He openly discussed with the students about their future goals, career options and concerns. During this, he also assured the resolution of school-related issues raised by the students and the school principal. The Deputy Commissioner said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is continuously raising the standard of education in government schools under the Education Revolution.
Under this, the Patiala District Administration is providing practical education and better guidance to the students through initiatives like ‘Chetna Project’. During this, Dr. Himanshu Agarwal motivated the students to visit the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, DC Court, Employment Office, Fard Kendra, Sewa Kendra, Police Station and other government offices to understand their functioning and share their suggestions and feedback.
The students appreciated the ‘Chetna Project’ and also received information and guidance from the Deputy Commissioner regarding CLAT, UPSC, Medical and other competitive examinations. After this visit, the students also gave their suggestions and feedback. On this occasion, Deputy DEO Ravinderpal Singh, School Principal Rajesh Kumar and other teachers were also present.
