Government only tries to project an image of being wellwisherRahul
New Delhi:- Speaking in the Lok Sabha during the discussion on the Women's Reservation Bill, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi said, "We have all learned a lot from women." Rahul Gandhi further remarked that while the bill has been passed in 2023, the basic truth is that it is not a 'Women's Reservation Bill' in the true sense; it has nothing to do with women's empowerment. Rahul Gandhi further said that women's empowerment cannot be achieved through the process of delimitation.
During the discussion, he challenged the government, saying, "Bring back the original bill, and we will ensure that it is passed." Rahul Gandhi further alleged that the government has no intention of empowering the OBC brothers and sisters of the country, and this move is, in fact, an attempt to take away the rights of the SC and ST communities.
Rahul Gandhi concluded his speech by saying that this bill is a calculated attempt to redraw the electoral map of the country, and that the women of India are being used and their cause is being used as an excuse to achieve this objective.
