Government committed to strengthening public facilities Cabinet Minister Ranbir Gangwa
Chandigarh , February 9:- Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa on Monday inaugurated the rainwater drainage project to be constructed at a cost of about Rs. 28.11 crore in Azad Nagar area of ??Hisar . The completion of the project will ensure a permanent solution to the serious problem of waterlogging in the area which has been going on for a long time .
Cabinet Minister Shri Ranbir Gangwa said that the project will cover about 500 acres of Azad Nagar area . This plan has been prepared with the aim of avoiding waterlogging during the rainy season . He said that under the project, about 14 km long RCC pipelines of different sizes will be laid . Along with this, 8 pumps will be installed for the drainage of rainwater , in which the capacity of each pump will be 18 thousand 500 liters per minute .
The Cabinet Minister said that along with the construction of a tank for water storage, a pump house will also be constructed for the operation of pumps . The rainwater extracted through the pumps will be fed into the Hisar Multipurpose Drain through two lines of 800 mm size DI pipe line, the total length of which will be about 5200 meters .
He said that apart from this, the capacity of the pumps at the rainwater disposal point located at the Small Secretariat will be increased from 16 cusecs to 60 cusecs , which will also provide relief from the problem of waterlogging in Patel Nagar, Jawahar Nagar and Green Park areas.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, the Haryana Government is continuously working to connect the state with modern infrastructure . The State Government is committed to strengthening public amenities . The Cabinet Minister said that the direct benefits of the government's policies are reaching the common citizens and the state is growing rapidly on the path of development .
He said that after the completion of the project, the residents of Azad Nagar and nearby areas will get relief from the problem of waterlogging and the development of the area will get a new momentum .
The government is interacting with the public to solve problems.
During the program, Cabinet Minister Mr. Ranbir Gangwa said that the state government is committed to directly communicating with the general public and resolving their problems . He spoke to the residents of Azad Nagar area and listened to their problems and also directed the officials of the concerned departments to take necessary steps towards the solution . He said that along with development works, timely resolution of public problems is the priority of the government and negligence at any level will not be tolerated .
