Gippy Grewal and Amy Virk will rock the statelevel Haroli Festival
Una, April 7: The state-level Haroli Festival 2026 is being held this year with even greater enthusiasm and cultural diversity. The festival will be held in grand style at the Haroli Ground, Roda, located on the banks of the Sombhadra River near the Haroli-Rampur Bridge from April 11th to 14th.
The Star Nights, held on all four days of the festival, will be a special attraction. Renowned artists from Himachal and Punjab will mesmerize audiences with their captivating performances during these cultural evenings. Renowned Punjabi singers Gippy Grewal and Amy Virk, along with several renowned artists, will captivate the audience with their performances, filling the banks of the Sombhadra River with the colors of Vaisakhi.
SDM Haroli Vishal Sharma stated that popular artists will grace the stage with their energetic performances during the Star Nights, held every evening during the festival. Renowned Punjabi artist Gippy Grewal will entertain the audience with his melodious voice on the evening of April 11th, G. Khan on April 12th, renowned Himachal artists Kuldeep Kumar and Anuj Sharma on April 13th, and Gulrez Akhtar and Amy Virk on April 14th at the state-level Haroli Festival.
**Audition Process for Local Artists Completed**
Vishal Sharma stated that the audition process for local artists to perform at the cultural evenings was also successfully completed on Tuesday. The auditions were held at the Lata Mangeshkar Bhawan in Samurkalan. During the two-day process, 50 artists from various districts of the state participated in singing, dancing, and other cultural forms. During the selection process, the artists demonstrated their talents and prepared for their performances at the festival.
He stated that the selected artists will be offered a platform at the cultural evenings of the Haroli Festival, to be held from April 11th to 14th. During this festival, renowned artists from the state, as well as local talents, will have the opportunity to showcase their art.
He stated that the Haroli Utsav, a major state-level event associated with the Baisakhi festival, is a major event in Himachal Pradesh, both in the Una district and in Himachal Pradesh. It features traditional regional activities, cultural programs, sports competitions, exhibitions, and other attractions, including a cattle fair, dog show, and baby show. Various departments will also organize development exhibitions showcasing government schemes and achievements.
**Trade Fair and Sports Competitions**
A trade fair will be held at the Haroli grounds during the festival, providing self-help groups and business establishments with the opportunity to showcase their products. This event will promote local entrepreneurship and strengthen the economic and social dimensions of Baisakhi. Various sports competitions will also be held to engage youth in positive activities.
**Employment Fair on April 14**
SDM Haroli informed that a grand employment fair is being organized by the Employment Department as part of Haroli Utsav-2026. District Employment Officer, Una, Akshay Sharma, informed that this employment fair will be held on April 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Haroli Ground, Roda. Youth will be selected by Luminous Power & Technology Limited, Livguard Peer & Energy Limited, Swiss Garnier Limited, Nagada Multiplast Industries, Stanford Laboratories, NGG Power Tech, Suriyae Polex, Sukhjeet Agro Industries, and 15 other industries.
**Local holiday declared in Haroli sub-division on April 13th**
In view of the state-level Haroli Festival, April 13th, 2026, will be a local holiday in the Haroli sub-division of Una district. Deputy Commissioner, Una, Jatin Lal, has issued orders regarding the local holiday.
The SDM stated that security, parking, lighting, sound, and arrangements have been carefully considered for the festival. Attractive stalls are also being set up to promote local art, cuisine, and culture, providing visitors with a rich cultural experience.
He appealed to the people to make this four-day cultural festival a success by coming in large numbers along with their families and enjoy entertainment, interaction and the unique confluence of Himachali-Punjabi culture.
