Giani Harpreet Singh offers to resign
Kolkata:- Regarding the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that the situation is difficult because Hindus are in minority there. If Hindus want to be safe in Bangladesh, they should remain united. Hindus from all over the world should help them.
Mohan Bhagwat was speaking at a dialogue programme organised on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in Kolkata on Sunday. Bhagwat said, "India should help as much as possible within its borders. We should do everything we can, because India is the only country for Hindus."
The Indian government should pay attention to this. They should do something. They (the government) may be already doing something. Some things are announced, others may not be announced. Sometimes results are achieved, sometimes not, but something should be done.
Bhagwat said that India is a Hindu Rashtra. There is no need to prove it, just like the sun rises in the east. We do not know how long it has been happening. So do we also need constitutional approval for this? Whoever considers India as his motherland and appreciates Indian culture, considers India a Hindu Rashtra. This is also the ideology of RSS.
He said that if Parliament ever decides to amend the Constitution and add this word, then whether they do it or not, is irrelevant. We do not care about that word, because we are Hindus and our country is a Hindu Rashtra. This is the truth.
