Chandigarh:- Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh brought laurels to the institution by excelling in the 77th Panjab University Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26. The meet was held from 22nd to 24th December 2025 at Sports Complex, Sector 7, Chandigarh.
A total of 20 players (11 men and 9 women) of the college participated enthusiastically in various track and field events and brought pride to the institution through their excellent performance. The college won a total of 19 medals, including 6 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze medals.
It was a very proud moment for the institution when Smt. Vandana Ekka was declared the best player of the women’s category (C Division). Along with this, Government College of Education, Sector 20-D, Chandigarh also won the overall championship trophy in the women’s category (C Division).
Along with the achievements in sports, the college has also demonstrated commendable and consistent excellence in co-curricular activities. The college secured the runner-up position in the Panjab University Zonal and Inter-zonal Youth Festival and secured second position in the Panjab University Zonal and Inter-zonal Skill-in-Teaching and Teaching Aid Preparation Competitions held in the year 2025.
All these achievements reflect the vibrant, content-rich, professionally enriched and academically strong academic environment of the institution.
