Full Armed Forces Day Ceremony Held at District Sainik Welfare Office Una

Una, January 14: The tenth Full Armed Forces Day ceremony was held with dignity at the District Sainik Welfare Office in Una on Wednesday. The ceremony was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that Full Armed Forces Day reminds us of the brave martyrs who sacrificed everything for the defense of the country. He said that the sacrifice of the soldiers is not just history, but a strong foundation for the security of the country.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the responsibility of the administration is not limited to the soldiers alone, but it is also our duty to provide respect and all possible assistance to their families, especially the war widows, mothers of martyrs, and dependents.
He said that the administration is sensitive and committed to resolving the problems of soldiers and their dependents. Any soldier or dependent can contact the administration with their problems at any time, and timely resolution of the problems will be ensured.
On this occasion, District Sainik Welfare Officer Lieutenant Colonel S.K. Kalia informed the serving soldiers, ex-servicemen, their dependents, and war widows about the various welfare schemes of the state government.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner honored the war widows, mothers of martyrs, and bravery award winners. On this occasion, bravery award winners Honorary Captain Sukhdev Singh (Vir Chakra), former Naik Dev Prakash (Vir Chakra), former Subedar Daulat Ram (Sena Medal), Honorary Captain Sushil Kumar (Shaurya Chakra), Honorary Captain Charan Das (Shaurya Chakra), along with Savita Thakur (wife of late Amit Kumar), Ruchi (wife of late Amrik Singh), Kanchan Bala (wife of Kulwinder Singh), Prakasho Devi (wife of late Shiv Dev), Rakesh Kumari (wife of late Harpal Dutta—Sena Medal) and 87-year-old retired Subedar Dilbag Singh were honored.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner and other officers and dignitaries present visited the Martyrs' Memorial, paid homage to the martyrs, and offered floral tributes.
 On this occasion, Colonel Shakti Chand, President of the Ex-Servicemen League Una, Colonel Joginder Pal, President of the Ex-Servicemen League Daulatpur, Colonel Satdev Singh, Colonel Raghuvir Singh, Colonel K.P.S. Chanjotra, Colonel Nanak Chand, Colonel P.S. Rajput, Colonel Yogesh Samanol, Colonel Darshan Singh, Colonel Kuldeep Singh Vashisht (Service Medal), Colonel Joginder Rana, Colonel D.P. Vashisht, and other military officers and personnel were present.
