Front fully supports the ongoing 10th November dharna at Panjab University Brar
Patiala:- State President Upjit Singh Brar, Secretary Gurdish Singh, Vice President Principal Malkit Singh Goraya, Gagandeep Singh District President Patiala, Principal Maninder Kaur, Balwinder Singh Ropar and District Secretary Pooja Sharma of the leading organization of Punjab's fully recognized and government aided schools "Government Aided Schools Progressive Front Punjab" said in a joint statement that the front will not allow the evil plans of the central government to snatch Panjab University from Punjab to succeed.
Our organization fully supports the students and the common people who are fighting to save this university and are on dharna. We support the students sitting on dharna in front of the university on the 10th to save this historical heritage.
The state president of the front, Upjit Singh Brar, said that before independence, this university was established in Lahore in 1882 and then re-established in Solan in 1947.
After independence, it was permanently established in Chandigarh. Since then, regular senatorial elections have been held to run it. A few years ago, these elections were canceled due to the cunning tricks of the central government.
But the evil moves of the center to snatch it from Punjab and separate it and centralize it are still going on from within, which will never be tolerated. The front is ready to fight every battle with the central government to save this university of our Punjab. Because for the rights of Punjab, whether it is the current government of Punjab or other governments that have come to Punjab from time to time, they have never been serious about the rights of Punjab.
The Front appeals to all those student organizations that love justice and fight for the rights of Punjab to join the protest in front of Panjab University on November 10 under one banner to save this heritage of Punjab.
