Free TwoWeek Dairy Training for SC Beneficiaries to Commence from October 27
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, October 14: Under the directions of S. Gurmeet Singh Khuddian, Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairy Development, and the guidance of S. Kuldeep Singh Jassowal, Director, Dairy Development Department, Punjab, the Dairy Development Department / Punjab Dairy Development Board is launching the second batch of a free two-week dairy training course for Scheduled Caste (SC) beneficiaries.
The training will begin on October 27, 2025, at the Dairy Training Centre, Chatamli.
Giving details, S. Harpreet Singh, Deputy Director, Dairy, SAS Nagar, informed that candidates must be between 18 and 55 years of age, have passed at least Class 5, and belong to the Scheduled Caste category to be eligible for this training.
He further stated that the training is completely free of cost, with no fees whatsoever. In addition, each trainee will receive a stipend of Rs 3500 upon successful completion of the course. The department will also provide tea, snacks, and lunch during the training period.
Dairy Inspector S. Kanwarveer Singh Bawa appealed to SC youth to take advantage of this valuable opportunity, enroll in the training, and make the best use of departmental schemes to expand their dairy ventures on a commercial scale. He added that adopting dairy as an occupation is a viable and profitable alternative in view of the changing agricultural cropping patterns.
