Fourth class employees to hold protest rally on November 13
Patiala, November 08:- A full meeting was held by the Class Four Government Employees Union Punjab 1680 under the chairmanship of Jagmohan Nolakha. In the meeting, it was decided to hold a warning rally on November 13 at the District Administrative Complex and District Forest Office in protest against the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, along with the demands of the fourth class employees in government and semi-government departments, to regularize the services of all the raw employees in the department after three months.
In the meeting, the Punjab government was condemned for bringing the mid-day meal employees in the Education Department (Schools) under the ambit of minimum wages and keeping the sanitation workers at Rs. 3000 and the watchmen at Rs. 5000. In the meeting, it was demanded that the sanitation workers, sewermen in the forestry, animal husbandry, municipal corporations, municipal councils, and all the departmental employees be brought under the ambit of equal work and equal pay in the light of the Supreme Court's decision.
It was demanded that the contract system be completely abolished and that the outsourced workers in the electricity wing and civil wing of the Public Works Department be taken out of the ambit of PESCO and deployed in the department. It was also demanded that the contract system be abolished in all 43 government departments including the health department and the employees be merged in the departments and that the employees appointed through part-time schools in the education department and the funds of the education department colleges, who have been working for 20-25 years, be deployed in the colleges.
The meeting appealed to the raw workers in all the departments to reach the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Patiala, at 2:00 pm on November 13 in the rally.
State President Darshan Singh Lubana, Ram Prasad Sahota, Gautam Bhardwaj, Suraj Yadav, Ram Lal Rama, Rajesh Golu, Shiv Charan, Inderpal Walia, Lakhvir Singh, Nisha Rani, Mod Nath Sharma, Onkar Singh, Raj Kumar Raju, Hans Raj, Darshan Singh Jhode Majra, Dharmendra, Paramjit Singh, Satynarayanan Goni, Harbans Verma, Sukhwinder Singh, Harjinder Singh, Gurinder Guri, Sunita Rani etc. were present in the meeting.
