Flying Squad formed to monitor road quality in Punjab

Chandigarh- Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced the formation of a CM Flying Squad to inspect the quality of link roads being constructed in the state. This squad includes senior officers of the Punjab Mandi Board and the Public Works Department.
Davinder Singh, Baldev Singh, Manpreet Singh Dua and Rajiv Saini, all engineer officers, will monitor the quality of construction work in Malwa, Majha and Doaba regions.
It is worth mentioning that the Chief Minister has recently launched a scheme to repair 19,492 km of link roads from Tarn Taran. A total of Rs 3,425 crore will be spent on this scheme. This flying squad will inspect the quality of repair work across the state.
The members of the squad will inspect the construction and maintenance status of the roads. According to the government, the aim of this action is to ensure transparency and accountability in the quality of roads.
