Fit India Carnival Kicks Off Participants Turn Out in Large Numbers
Karnal, March 21: District Sports Officer Rajbir Singh Ranga announced that the Fit India Carnival is being organized from March 21 to 23 under the aegis of SAI (Sports Authority of India) and Fit India. On the inaugural day of the carnival, participants turned out in large numbers to take part in the festivities.
He stated that various fitness and sports activities were organized on the first day, prominently featuring Yoga, Zumba, Tug-of-War, Weightlifting, and the traditional sport of Mallakhamb. Through these activities, awareness regarding physical fitness was encouraged among the participants.
The morning session of the event witnessed the active participation of approximately 500 individuals, a testament to the program's success. On this occasion, Pradeep Kumar, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Karnal, was also present.
Encouraging the participants, he emphasized the importance of making fitness an integral part of daily life. The primary objective of the program is to enhance fitness awareness among the general public and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
