Nawanshahr:- Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ankurjit Singh, the first rehearsal was held at the ground of ITI Nawanshahr under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Pen V) Avneet Kaur to celebrate the Republic Day with pomp and show at the district level. In which SDM Nawanshahr Anamjyot Kaur, Assistant Commissioner General Jagdeep Singh and district officers of various departments were present. On the occasion of the beginning of the first rehearsal, a march was passed by the Punjab Police, NCC troops.
After this, PT show and patriotism were performed by various school students and instructions were given to the officers to ensure that they carry out the assigned responsibility with dedication and honesty. He assigned the responsibility of cleanliness to the Municipal Council, Rangoli to the District Program Officer.
He instructed the district officers of all the departments to ensure their and their staff's presence in the district level Republic Day. He said that no kind of negligence should be tolerated in this function. He instructed the officers to complete the necessary arrangements within the stipulated time.
He informed that the next rehearsal regarding the preparations for the district level Republic Day will be a full dress rehearsal on 22nd, 23rd and 24th January.
