Ferozepur- A case of large-scale manipulation of government food grains has come to light in Ferozepur. A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint sent to SSP Ferozepur by the office of District Controller Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Ferozepur. In the complaint sent to the police by the District Controller Food, Civil Supplies, it has been stated that during the checking of two different godowns in the district, shortfalls of rice were found.
The first case is of the covered godown located at TR Agro Foods and Beverages LLP, Sekhwan-Sodhiwala Road, Talwandi Bhai. During the inspection here, 35,809 bales of rice were shortfalls. Apart from this, the second discrepancy came to light from Sachdeva Rice Mills, Pyareana, from where 2,793 bales of rice were found shortfalls. During the investigation, 38,602 bags of rice, worth crores of rupees, are missing from both the places. 
After investigating this matter, Inspector Baljinder Singh, Head of Police Station Kulgarhi, informed that the police has registered a case against Yograj Nirikhak, resident of Talwandi Bhai.
