Chandigarh:- Enforcement Directorate (ED) Additional Director Ravi Tewari, who summoned former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and his son Raninder Singh, has been transferred. Dinesh Pachauri has now been posted as Additional Director in place of Tewari. Top officials have described it as a routine transfer, but the transfer raises many doubts at the time of the summoning of the Captain family.
Captain Amarinder Singh and Raninder Singh were summoned by the Enforcement Directorate in a case of alleged violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, but both the father and son failed to appear before the ED. Captain Amarinder Singh is currently in the hospital undergoing treatment for his knees.
Meanwhile, ED officer Tewari has been transferred, who was posted in Jalandhar in September 2023. The ED is investigating an old case which is linked to Raninder Singh. The ED has already questioned Raninder Singh regarding the alleged misappropriation of funds in Switzerland and the formation of the ‘Jacaranda Trust’.
