Farmers thank Agriculture Minister for increasing SAP of sugarcane

Chandigarh, October 24- The decision of Haryana government to increase the State Advisory Price of sugarcane by Rs. 15 per quintal has created a wave of joy among farmers across the state. After this announcement made by Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini, Haryana has now become the state giving the highest price of sugarcane in the country. 
Now the SAP of early variety sugarcane has been increased from Rs. 400 to Rs. 415 per quintal and the price of late variety has been increased from Rs. 393 to Rs. 408 per quintal.
Several representatives of farmer organizations from different parts of the state today met Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Mr. Shyam Singh Rana and thanked him for this historic decision.
Those who expressed their gratitude included Kisan Morcha Secretary Vinod Rana, Kisan Morcha Haryana Vice President Mandeep Virk, Vikas Amupur, Arun Samalkha, Kuldeep, Vijay Kamboj, Sandeep Kumar, Arjun Khajuri, Satpal Tohana, Bittu Kamboj (Tohana) and Mange Ram.
The farmers said that this decision is a timely step taken before the festive season which will improve their economic condition. Welcoming this decision, the farmers said that the increased SAP will balance their increasing cost and provide economic relief.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana said that this decision of increasing the price of sugarcane shows the strength of our government that the farmers get the greatest value for their hard work. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini, Haryana has become a leading state in protecting the rights of farmers and their development.
