Jaito, December 5:- A press release issued by the Ferozepur Railway Division of Northern Railways said that various farmers' organizations staged a protest in Punjab to block trains. Due to this protest, dharna demonstrations were held at 15 places in Ferozepur division. 16 trains were affected due to this protest, but no train was cancelled.
The affected trains include train numbers 14720 Amritsar-Bikaner, 74968 Lohia Khas-Phillaur, 74936 Ferozepur-Jalandhar, 7465 Dera Baba Nanak-Amritsar, 14622 Hazur Sahib Nanded Express, 54572 Ferozepur-Ludhiana, 4772 Ferozepur-Ludhiana, 64552 Chheharta-Ludhiana, 20497 Ferozepur Humsafar Express, 74683 Khemkaran-Bhagtawala, 22485 Ferozepur Intercity Express, 12497 Shane Punjab Express, 74691 Amritsar-Qadian Express, 7467 Amritsar-Tarankot, 7467 Amritsar-Tarankot-74, 74975 Ferozepur - Fazilka.
Railway sources say that trains have been stopped only at places where passengers do not have to face any inconvenience regarding food and drink.
