Chandigarh, January 30:- Haryana Government has suspended Mr. Surya Kant, working as Exin in Public Health Engineering Department with immediate effect. Exin also had the additional charge of PhD No. 1, Bhiwani.
This action has been taken under Rule-5 of Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 2016. A total of 6 charge sheets were issued against the officer, out of which the allegations made under the charge sheet have been found correct. In such a situation, action has been taken under Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rule-7.
The charge sheet states that the officer Mr. Surya Kant has shown indiscipline during duty. Apart from this, there are administrative irregularities, ignoring public complaints, negligence in resolving complaints received from CM windows and public dialogues and lack of overall supervision of various projects.
Apart from this, it was also found that on January 26, 2026, when the Minister of Public Works and Public Health Engineering, Shri Ranbir Gangwa, was on a visit to Bhiwani and the complaints of the general public were to be heard, the concerned officer was found absent from duty. Complaints have also come to light that public complaints related to public health are not being taken seriously in Bhiwani.
