Everyone must be prepared to protect themselves and others
Following the orders of the National Human Rights Commission to make all students and teachers of the country helpers of the victims by providing training in disaster management, first aid, fire safety, training is continuously conducted by the Principal Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar for NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, scout guides and other students at Veer Haqiqat Rai Model Senior Secondary School.
In connection with the National Fire Safety Awareness Fortnight, training was given at the school to protect fires from gas leaks, electrical short circuits, petroleum, batteries and combustible materials from fires by Mr. Kaka Ram Verma, Disaster Management Civil Defense First Aid Fire Safety Trainer. He taught the causes of fires in gases, electricity and combustible materials, types of fires and methods of extinguishing fires using water, soil cylinders and methods of extinguishing fires.
They also conducted mock drills by forming 10 different teams of students. Principal Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar while expressing her gratitude said that four of her teachers received training in the 7-day Disaster Management Civil Defense Training Program organized by the Government of India and Punjab and now they help students in imparting training on these subjects.
NCC Officer Sachna Sharma, NSS Program Officer Ravinder Kaur, Scout Guide Officer while expressing gratitude said that the trainings being conducted by the governments to make students helpers of the victims will prove to be very useful in saving the country, homes, families, institutions and humanity in the future.
