Haroli/Una, May 27 (Rajveer Chopra):— The election results for the posts of *Pradhan* (Head) and *Up-Pradhan* (Deputy Head) in various Gram Panchayats of the Haroli subdivision have been declared. Several panchayats witnessed fierce, neck-and-neck contests, while some candidates secured victory by a massive margin.
In Gram Panchayat Samnal, Darshana Devi emerged victorious for the post of *Pradhan* by a margin of 43 votes. She received 379 votes, while her nearest rival, Promila Devi, secured 336 votes. Meanwhile, for the post of *Up-Pradhan*, Ujagar Singh won by a margin of 5 votes; he received 280 votes, while Tara Chand received 275.
In Gram Panchayat Kangad, Vinod Kumar won the election for the post of *Pradhan* by a margin of 242 votes. He received 894 votes, whereas Rajni Sharma secured 612 votes.
In Beetan Panchayat, Yograj won the election for the post of *Pradhan* by a margin of 118 votes. He received 941 votes, while Om Prakash secured 823 votes. For the post of *Up-Pradhan*, Hariom emerged victorious by a margin of 160 votes; he received 963 votes, while Rakesh Kumar secured 803 votes.
In Gram Panchayat Kungrat, Saroj Kumari emerged victorious for the post of *Pradhan* by a margin of 209 votes. She received 360 votes, while her rival, Santosh Kumari, secured 151 votes. For the post of *Up-Pradhan*, Karpal Singh won by a margin of 54 votes; he received 285 votes, whereas Praveen Rani secured 231 votes.
In Lalri Panchayat, Anjana Bala won the election for the post of *Pradhan* by a margin of just 5 votes in an extremely close contest. She received 654 votes, while Sukhwinder Devi secured 649 votes. For the post of *Up-Pradhan*, Raghuvir Singh won by a margin of 257 votes; he received 884 votes, while Rakesh Chandra Joshi secured 627 votes. In Gram Panchayat Gondpur Bullan, Satish Kumar was elected as the Pradhan by a margin of 224 votes. He secured 775 votes, while his opponent received 551. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Gopal Krishna emerged victorious by 18 votes; he received 673 votes, while Aman Kumar received 655.
In Hiran Nagar Panchayat, Kashmir Kaur was elected as the Pradhan by a margin of 56 votes. She secured 377 votes, while Bholi Devi received 321. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Deepak Kumar registered a victory by 94 votes; he received 357 votes, while Arun Kumar received 263.
In Ispur Panchayat, Hari Narayan was elected as the Pradhan by a margin of 121 votes. He secured 575 votes, while Sarwan Kumar received 454. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Pawan Kumar was declared victorious by 165 votes; he received 641 votes, while Sobiyat Ali received 476.
In Gram Panchayat Hiran, Jaswinder Kaur registered a victory for the post of Pradhan by a margin of 154 votes. She secured 610 votes, while Rajinder Kaur received 456. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Satkartar Singh emerged victorious by 343 votes; he received 559 votes, while Bagga Singh received 216.
In Pubowal Panchayat, Suman Lal registered a victory by a large margin of 573 votes. He secured 845 votes, while Jatinder Singh received 272. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Pushpinder Kumar emerged victorious by 87 votes; he received 530 votes, while Balvir Singh received 443.
In Badhera Panchayat, Anil Kumar achieved victory by a margin of 588 votes. He secured 1,395 votes, while Vikramjit Singh received 807. For the post of Vice-Pradhan, Ravinder Kumar emerged victorious by 184 votes; he received 820 votes, while Dharampal received 636. In Saloh Panchayat, Rajan Kumar was elected Pradhan by a margin of 238 votes. He secured 1,029 votes, while his nearest rival received 791. For the post of Up-Pradhan, Karan Singh registered a victory by 509 votes; he received 913 votes, whereas Vinay Kumar obtained 404.
In Panjavar Panchayat, Ranjit Rana won the election for the post of Pradhan by 125 votes. He received 943 votes, while Jagjit Singh received 818. For the post of Up-Pradhan, Brij Pal emerged victorious by a margin of 67 votes; he secured 830 votes, and Pradeep Singh received 763.
In Pandoga Panchayat, Amita Kumari was elected Pradhan by a margin of 300 votes. She received 807 votes, while Anita Kumari received 507. For the post of Up-Pradhan, Mahesh Dogra and Noordin received an equal number of votes—479 each—following which Mahesh Dogra was declared the winner through a draw of lots.
In Bathu Panchayat, Meena Devi was elected Pradhan. For the post of Up-Pradhan, Pradeep Singh registered a victory by 449 votes; he received 956 votes, whereas Rahul Rana obtained 507.
In Karmpur Panchayat, Sneh Lata emerged victorious for the post of Pradhan by a margin of 33 votes; she received 701 votes, while Suman Kumari received 668. For the post of Up-Pradhan, Mahendra Singh registered a victory by 161 votes; he secured 579 votes, and Gurvachan Singh received 418.
