Election Observer reviews election preparations ahead of Municipal Council elections in SBS Nagar

Nawanshahr:- Interacting with the election staff during a meeting at the District Administrative Complex, the Observer appealed to all the officers to discharge their election duties with full dedication, hard work and honesty. He stressed that the election process should be carried out strictly as per the guidelines issued by the State Election Commission and no negligence will be tolerated during the elections.
After this, the Observer also reviewed the arrangements made for the voters on the polling day, emphasizing that necessary facilities should be ensured so that the voters can exercise their right to vote without any inconvenience. He also reviewed the security arrangements at the polling stations and directed the police officers to keep a close watch on the law and order situation to ensure peaceful conduct of the elections.
Along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Avneet Kaur, the observer said that elections will be held for 19 wards of Municipal Council Nawanshahr, 13 wards of Municipal Council Rahon and 15 wards of Municipal Council Banga. He said that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure free, fair and transparent elections in the district. It is worth mentioning that voting will be held on May 26 from 8 am to 5 pm and counting of votes will be done on May 29 at the designated counting centers.
