Nawanshahr- As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, a new facility ‘Book a Call with BLO’ has been launched on the Voter Service Portal for the convenience of the people and voters in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district, through which the voter will be able to get his issue resolved with a single call. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Ankurjit Singh said in this regard that through this facility, common citizens/voters will be able to get their issues related to voter lists resolved through a call from the Booth Level Officer.
He said that whenever a citizen books a call through the ‘Book a Call with BLO’ option on the Voter Service Portal, a text message will be sent to both the BLO and the applicant, after which the BLO will call the applicant and resolve his problems. The District Election Officer said that after receiving the message, by going to the call request option and clicking on the contacted button, the status will be updated and if the candidate does not receive the call, he will click on the unavailable button.
It is worth mentioning that after the BLO responds, the report will be updated on ECI Net and a message will also be sent to the concerned candidate. The District Election Officer appealed to the common citizens/voters to follow the social media platforms issued by the Election Commission so that they can get information about the instructions and activities issued by the Election Commission of India.
