Chandigarh, July 20:- Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini said that the Haryana government is implementing several effective schemes to make Gaushalas self-reliant and strong. Under this series, 820 e-rickshaws will be provided to Gaushalas of the state for taking care of livestock.
Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini was chairing a meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee in Chandigarh on Monday. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Vipul Goyal, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Public Works, Public Health and Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa, Women and Child Development and Irrigation Minister Shruti Chaudhary were also present in the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that as per the scheme, one e-rickshaw will be provided to the cowsheds keeping up to one thousand cattle and two e-rickshaws will be provided to the cowsheds keeping more than that. The meeting approved the purchase of e-rickshaws at a cost of Rs 10.25 crore. Out of the total 770 cowsheds in the state, 553 cowsheds have less than one thousand cattle, 79 cowsheds have up to two thousand, 20 cowsheds have up to three thousand, 8 cowsheds have up to four thousand and one cowshed has 5 thousand and one cowshed has up to 6 thousand cattle. The Chief Minister approved the work of laying sewerage lines in various colonies of Kaithal city at a cost of Rs 12.87 crore. This will start the sewerage system in the majority population of the city, which has been prepared keeping in mind the population till 2042. Apart from this, approval was also given for upgrading the water sewage treatment plant in Khedar and construction of RCC tank. This work will cost about Rs 27.70 crore.
The Chief Minister approved the installation of 5 Rainiwell tubewells of 10 MLD capacity in Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority. Testing for drinking water will be done with the Rainiwell tubewells to be installed in the water-logging areas of Yamuna river around villages Manjhavali, Mothuka at a cost of about Rs 164.75 crore.

Second water reservoir of 1000 MLD to be built in Basai, Gurugram
The Chief Minister also approved the construction of a second water reservoir of 1000 MLD capacity in Basai village of Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority. Its construction will cost about Rs 149 crore. In this way, various works worth Rs 380.40 crore were tendered for Rs 363.82 crore, saving about Rs 16.58 crore. The Chief Minister said that no kind of delay and negligence in development works will be tolerated and all the works should be completed within the stipulated time. Apart from this, high quality should be ensured in development works.
The meeting was attended by Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Mr. Arun Gupta, FMDA and GMDA Advisor Mr. D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary Mr. Pankaj Yadav, Mr. Vijay Singh Dahiya, GMDA CEO Mr. P.C. Meena, Director General of Supply and Disposal Mr. Pankaj and many senior officials.
