Drug trade can be eradicated only through public cooperation DSP Mohan Rawat

Haroli/Una, June 27 (Rajveer Chopra): An awareness meeting was organized at the Government Senior Secondary School in the Tahliwal industrial area as part of the government's anti-drug campaign. The meeting was presided over by Haroli DSP Mohan Rawat. Tahliwal Station House Officer (SHO) Rinku Suryavanshi and his police team were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, DSP Mohan Rawat stated that better coordination and cooperation between the police and the general public are essential to completely eradicate the serious social evil of drug abuse. He remarked that if the public cooperates by providing confidential and accurate information regarding drug peddlers, it would be easier to put such individuals behind bars.
He urged the public to immediately inform the police about any suspicious activity or the presence of outsiders, rather than withholding information, so that timely investigations and appropriate actions could be taken.
The DSP also urged parents to keep a close watch on their children's daily routines and activities. He emphasized that parents should ensure their children do not fall into bad company and stay completely away from substances like 'Chitta' (synthetic drugs), 'Bhuki' (poppy husk), and other intoxicants.
During the meeting, attendees shared their views and pledged to extend all possible cooperation to the police administration in making society drug-free.
Prominent figures and local citizens present on the occasion included Tahliwal Nagar Panchayat Vice-President Raj Kumar Malli; Councilors Ajay Sehgal, Ashok Kumar Rana, and Pradeep Rana; ASHA worker Asha Devi; School Principal Arun Kumar Rimpi; and others.
