Drug Peddler Arrested 36 kg of Poppy Husk Seized

Karnal, July 06- Acting under the directives of the Karnal Superintendent of Police as part of a special campaign against illegal drug smugglers, the CIA-1 team achieved a significant breakthrough by arresting an accused with 3.6 kg of poppy husk.
Providing details, CIA-1 In-charge Inspector Sandeep Singh stated that a police team, led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Rohit Kumar, was on patrol and crime prevention duty. During this time, the team received a tip-off that a young man was roaming the Tikri Kailash area with the intention of selling narcotics. Acting swiftly on the information, the police team conducted a raid and apprehended the accused, Bittu—son of Attar Singh and a resident of Qila Mohalla, Ward 7, Indri, Karnal.
A search of the accused led to the recovery of 3.6 kg of poppy husk.
A case has been registered against the accused at the Sadar Police Station, Karnal, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
The police team produced the accused before the honorable court today, securing a four-day police remand. Further investigation is underway to interrogate the accused thoroughly and identify any other accomplices involved in the case.
