Drug Network Busted Karnal Police Takes Major Action Chappa Arrested
Karnal, February 3:- Following the directions of the Superintendent of Police, Karnal, and as part of a special campaign against illegal drug traffickers, the Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Karnal District Police has achieved another significant success.
During an operation led by Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge Sub-Inspector Himmat Singh, the fifth accused in the case, Dalbir Singh alias Chappa, son of Sewa Singh, a resident of Janatpur Dera Bassi village, Amritsar district (Punjab), was apprehended from Amritsar.
In this regard, the Anti-Narcotics Cell In-charge informed that four other accomplices of the accused had already been arrested with 3.245 kg of Tramadol capsules and 2.645 kg of Lomotil narcotic tablets. A case was registered against them at Gharaunda Police Station under FIR No. 48/2025, under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
The arrested accused was produced before the Honorable Court and a one-day police remand was obtained. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused, in his greed to become rich quickly and earn more money, along with his accomplices, used to buy narcotic drugs at cheap prices and sell them further.
After the completion of the police remand period, the accused was again produced before the Honorable Court and sent to the district jail. The investigation of the case is ongoing, and other possible links are also being thoroughly investigated.
