Hoshiarpur:- As per the orders of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab, Dr. Mandeep Kamal has assumed charge as Civil Surgeon Hoshiarpur today. His appointment has been made on 28th February 2026 after the retirement of Civil Surgeon Dr. Balbir Kumar.
On reaching the office, Dr. Mandeep Kamal was warmly welcomed by the staff members including Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati, District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Savita Rana, Senior Medical Officers of Civil Hospital Dr. Navjot Singh and Dr. Neha Pal, Senior Medical Officer Dr. Rohit Baruta, ENT Specialist Dr. Rajwant Kaur, PA Satpal, Mrs. Asha Rani, and others and congratulated him on assuming the new responsibility.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Mandeep Kamal was serving as Medical Superintendent at Civil Hospital Amritsar before his transfer and has vast experience in administrative and clinical fields.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mandeep Kamal said that he will discharge this important responsibility entrusted to him by the Punjab Government with full loyalty, dedication and honesty. He clarified that making government health facilities more accessible, quality and effective for the common people will be his first priority.
He said that every possible effort will be made to further strengthen the health system in Hoshiarpur district and necessary steps will be taken to further improve the health services, so that every citizen can get quality and timely health facilities nearby.
Dr. Mandeep Kamal appealed to the staff to discharge their responsibilities with mutual cooperation, loyalty and teamwork, so that the people of the district can be provided with excellent and reliable health services.
