Dog Show Serves as Main Attraction on Day 3 of Haroli Festival
Una, April 13:- The main attraction on the third day of the state-level Haroli Festival was a dog show, organized by the Department of Animal Husbandry. Approximately 50 animal lovers participated in the event, bringing along their dogs of various breeds. Held under the theme "Baisakhi Sang Lok Rang" (Baisakhi and Folk Colors), the dog show thoroughly entertained the audience, and the dogs' stunts filled the entire atmosphere with excitement. Attractive and well-trained canines of diverse breeds won everyone's hearts with their magnificent performances.
During the exhibition, trained Belgian Shepherd dogs from TVS Motors performed amazing stunts that left both the audience and the Chief Guest spellbound. These dogs were honored by the Chief Guest with the award for the "Best Performers" of the dog show.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both local residents and participants who had traveled from distant places. Dogs of numerous breeds—including Bull Terrier, Pakistani Bully, Rottweiler, Greyhound, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, American Bully, Doberman, Shih Tzu, Toy Pom, and Dachshund—showcased their skills during the event.
The panel of judges selected the winners based on the dogs' stunts, obedience, physical fitness, temperament, and overall presentation. The winning participants were honored with awards presented by Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister remarked that such events serve not merely as a means of entertainment, but also play a pivotal role in fostering awareness regarding animal love and care.
The role of judges for the event was ably discharged by veterinary doctors Dr. Shilpa (Surgeon at the Veterinary Polyclinic, Lalri), Dr. Parmesh Dogra, and Dr. Gopal.
