Hoshiarpur:- Under the directions and guidance of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and District Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Rajinder Agarwal, Secretary-cum-CJM Neeraj Goyal, a special drug de-addiction awareness campaign is being run across the district from 6th December 2025 to 6th January 2026.
Under this link, an awareness program was organized at Government Elementary School Bains Khurd. In which Advocate Ashish Jyoti gave an anti-drug message to the audience. Addressing the program, Advocate Ashish Jyoti said that drug abuse has become a serious threat to the society today. Joint participation of every section of the society is very important to eradicate it from the root.
He gave detailed information to the students, parents and villagers about the harmful effects of drugs, legal provisions related to it and rehabilitation facilities available after quitting drugs. He said that only by staying away from drugs can the youth properly utilize their potential and contribute to the progress of the society.
On this occasion, people were also made aware about legal aid helpline, drug de-addiction centers and government schemes, so that the needy can get timely help.
