Hoshiarpur:- District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur and District De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre, Hoshiarpur celebrated Human Rights Day at the De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre today in a very conscious manner. This year’s theme is ‘Human Rights, Our Daily Essentials’, under which people were made aware about the importance of human rights in daily life.
The program was organized as per the directions of Punjab Legal Services Authority under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Hoshiarpur Rajinder Agarwal and CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Neeraj Goyal.
On this occasion, Advocate Rupika Thakur, Assistant Counsel at the District De-Addiction Center and Rehabilitation Center, shared important information regarding human rights, drug-free life and legal aid.
The presence of Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Medical Officer, was particularly noteworthy in the program. The speakers said that it is the responsibility of the society to protect human rights and ensure a dignified life for people coming out of the clutches of drugs.
