Una, July 20: The District Badminton Championship in Una will be held at Rao Badminton Academy from July 31 to August 2. Ashok Thakur, General Secretary of the District Badminton Association, stated that preparations for the tournament have already begun. During a meeting held by the association, the roadmap for successfully organizing the championship was finalized after a detailed discussion on the necessary arrangements.
He informed that players wishing to participate can deposit their entry fees at Hardeep Singh’s (Lal Ji) shop by July 28. He urged all players in the district and their parents to participate in the tournament with great enthusiasm.
Ashok Thakur mentioned that office bearers and members offered suggestions during the meeting on how to provide better facilities for the players and ensure the tournament's success. He noted that this competition would provide an excellent opportunity for the district's young players to showcase their talent.
The association expressed its gratitude to Sunil Rao for making the Rao Badminton Academy available for hosting the tournament.
Dr. Komal Malik, T.L. Walia, Anil Rajput, Ashok Angra, Jagtar Singh, Harinder Singh, Sunil Rao, Pawan Kapila, Sanjeev Sharma, S.K. Bansal, Sachin Rao, Shubham Sambhar, Abhishek Kapila, Karan Chaudhary, Rajat Kang, and Manoj Kumar were present at the meeting.
