District and Sessions Judge Rajinder Agarwal visited the DeAddiction and Rehabilitation Centre

Hoshiarpur:- District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Rajinder Agarwal and CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Neeraj Goyal visited the De-Addiction Centre and Rehabilitation Centre Hoshiarpur.
During this, while interacting with the patients admitted in the centre, they were informed that as per the directions of Member Secretary, Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali), an anti-drug awareness campaign called ‘Youth Against Drugs’ is being run from December 6 to January 6.
The main objective of this campaign is to motivate the young generation to give up drugs and move towards a bright future and to make the society drug-free. The cooperation of all citizens is expected in this noble cause, so that the youth of the country can touch the heights of life.
On this occasion, Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel Vishal Kumar gave detailed information to the patients of the center about NALSA's 'Drugs Awareness and Wellness Navigation - For a Drug Free India Scheme-2025, the adverse effects of drugs on health, family and social life and the legal provisions of the NDPC Act.
Apart from this, it was told about the National Lok Adalat to be held on 13 December 2025 that in this Lok Adalat, pending and pre-litigation cases are settled with the mutual consent of both the parties. There is no appeal against the decision of the Lok Adalat and this saves both time and money.
During the visit, Medical Officer in-charge of the De-Addiction Center Dr. Jasleen Kaur, Psychologist Dr. Simran Saini, Counselor Prashant, Parminder Kaur, Rajwinder Kaur and Manager Nisha Rani were present.
