Nawanshahr- The monthly meeting of Senior Citizens Association Nawanshahr was held under the chairmanship of Professor SK Baruta at the Deputy Commissioner Meeting Hall at the District Administrative Complex. At the beginning of the meeting, Professor Baruta welcomed all the members present in the meeting.
And thanked and congratulated everyone for making the International Senior Citizens Day celebrated by the association in October last month with the cooperation of all the members a success.
Secretary Husan Lal Bali gave information about the activities of the meeting held last month. The presidium presented flowers to members Ashok Gautam, Ashwini Gautam, Puran Chand, Ashok Kumar Chopra, General Secretary SK Puri, Saroj Puri and Satnam Kaur on their birthdays and to Harbans Singh, Parshotam Bains and Subhash Arora on their wedding anniversary and wished them well.
During the meeting, Dr. J. S. Sandhu, a specialist in mental diseases of Sandhu Hospital Nawanshahr, Dr. Sandeep Agarwal, a specialist in MS General and Lapro Surgery, and Dr. Kanav Tandon, a specialist in bone and joint pain, gave information about the problems faced by the elderly and their treatment / remedy.
They also advised the elderly to have a balanced diet and do light exercise. President Professor SK Baruta, Senior Vice President MP Pathak, Ram Dhan Chaudhary, Secretary Hussan Lal Bali and Bikramjit Singh honored the visiting doctors with bouquets of flowers.
Managing Director of Sandhu Hospital Professor GS Sandhu was also honored by the presidium with a bouquet of flowers. Members Sukhdev Sharma (Pandit), Jeevan Pathak, Kailash Bali and Subhash Arora entertained the members by reciting their compositions. Finally, President Professor SK Baruta thanked all the members present in the meeting. A large number of members were present on this occasion.
