Jalandhar:- Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee will organize a discussion and film show on the occasion of International Women's Day on Sunday, March 8 at 11 am sharp at the Gandharva Sen Kochhar Memorial Theater built inside the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall. Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Kulwant Singh Sandhu, General Secretary Gurmeet Singh and Convener of the Cultural Wing Amolak Singh said that in the discussion event, Baljit Kaur Bal will mainly share her views on the life and struggle of women in our times.
Apart from this, committee member Dr. Sailesh will conduct a film show on behalf of People's Voice. The committee said that the historical importance of International Women's Day is to create a beautiful and comfortable environment for the status of women in our society and the high rise of women in every field. On this international day, the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee appeals to all people-friendly, progressive and democracy-loving families to participate.
The committee says that whether it is the genocide of the Palestinian people, whether it is the naked white attack on countries like Iran by America and Israel or the policies that are being implemented in our country to increase the profits of the companies of imperialist and indigenous multinational families, whether there are restrictions on the freedom of expression of ideas or communal fascist attacks are being intensified. On such occasions, especially the women have to pay a big price, despite this, the committee will pay homage to the struggling women on this day.
