Director Tarun Arora made young voters aware

Hoshiarpur:- At Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Government College Mukhliana, District Hoshiarpur, today a special voter awareness camp was organized with the aim of making youth and voters aware about their right to vote. On this occasion, Director of PEDA of Punjab Government and State Secretary of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab Tarun Arora participated as Chief Guest. Along with him, President of Aam Aadmi Party Block Ganesh Kumar Ginni was also present.
On reaching the college, Principal of the college Dr. Parul Khanna and staff of the college warmly welcomed Chief Guest Tarun Arora and other guests who had come and honoured them by presenting bouquets.
During the camp, Tarun Arora while making young voters aware about the importance of vote said that India is a democratic country and every eligible citizen's vote plays an important role in strengthening democracy. He explained to the students that in the election of Central Government, Punjab Legislative Assembly and Panchayati Raj institutions, people elect their representatives through their right to vote.
He specially appealed to youth who have completed 18 years of age to definitely get their vote made and to deliver their form to their BLO (Booth Level Officer) as per the procedure prescribed by the Election Commission. He said that youth whose vote has not yet been made, they along with getting their vote made should also inspire youth above 18 years of age around them to get registered as voters.
Tarun Arora said that today's youth are the future of the country and in the coming time the responsibility of the country will be on their shoulders. Therefore, it is very necessary for every youth to become a voter and to use his vote correctly. He said that vote is not only a right, but also a responsibility towards the country and society.
On this occasion, Principal of the college Dr. Parul Khanna thanked Chief Guest Tarun Arora and other guests who had come. She said that such awareness programmes play an important role in creating democratic values among students and a sense of responsibility towards their right to vote.
On this occasion, entire staff of the college, students and other dignitaries were specially present.
