Digital eye on elections Every activity will be tracked through PollDashboard

Chandigarh, May 05 - The Haryana State Election Commission is laying special emphasis on the effective use of the 'Poll-Dashboard Portal' and related mobile application with the aim of ensuring proper, transparent and timely monitoring of the elections. Under this link, an important meeting was held today through video conferencing, in which Returning Officers and Assistant Returning Officers of various districts participated.
In this meeting held through video conferencing, State Election Commission Secretary Mr. Gaurav Kumar shared necessary guidelines. While reviewing the election preparations, he said that all the concerned officers should update the necessary information related to their respective polling stations on the Poll-Dashboard Portal in a timely manner. Along with this, the names and mobile numbers of the responsible officers who update real-time data through the mobile application should be mandatorily registered on the portal, ensuring the correct identity of the responsible officers who update real-time data.
He said that the Poll-Dashboard portal will play an important role in monitoring pre-election and polling day activities such as departure of polling parties, their access to polling stations, mock polls, polling commencement time and voting percentage from time to time.
It was also shared during the meeting that timely updating of all activities on polling day should be ensured. After the end of voting, it should be ensured that the EVM machines are sealed and deposited safely as per the rules and the relevant records should be deposited at the time of counting at the stipulated time.
Apart from this, guidelines were also shared regarding updating the information regarding the voters present at the polling stations after 6:00 PM by following the prescribed procedure and ensuring timely 'Poll Close' after the completion of the voting process.
During the meeting, feedback was taken from the officers of various districts and necessary guidance was given to resolve their problems. Also, while reviewing the status of distribution of voter slips, it was emphasized that the slips reach all voters on time.
