Dharmanagari Kurukshetra will soon get the facility of ring road Chief Minister

Chandigarh, November 3 - In view of the increasing number of pilgrims, work is going on rapidly on the plan of ring road in Kurukshetra. Its DPR is almost ready. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi released an amount of Rs. 250 crore for the development of Kurukshetra, due to which Dharmanagari is getting a new look.
This was said by Haryana Chief Minister Shri Naib Singh Saini in response to a question asked by journalists during a press conference organized in connection with the International Gita Mahotsav organized at Haryana Niwas today. The Chief Minister said that in the year 2014, in a public meeting held in Kurukshetra, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had said that Kurukshetra, the birthplace of Gita, should get global recognition and while working on this, the state government has implemented many works to give Kurukshetra international recognition. Today, a large number of tourists and devotees are reaching Dharmakhetra-Kurukshetra not only from the country but also from abroad. Today, Gita Jayanti Mahotsav has been given international fame.
He said that Dharmanagari is being made bigger and more attractive. An experience center based on the events of the Mahabharata period is almost ready in Jyotisar. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is coming to Kurukshetra on November 25 on the 350th martyrdom day of Hind di Chadar Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur, on that day he will also attend the International Gita Mahotsav.
The Chief Minister said that this year the Ministry of External Affairs is playing a special role in the International Gita Mahotsav. Invitations have been extended to 24 countries through the Ministry of External Affairs.
When asked about the Krishna Circuit, a project of the Government of India to promote tourism, the Chief Minister said that Kurukshetra will now not only become a pilgrimage site, but also a center of world attraction. Under this project, the government is working on a plan to beautify the Ticker Tal along with the re-expansion of the Pinjore Garden in Pinjore.
In response to a question, the Chief Minister said that the city is being decorated on the Mahabharata theme, the main intersections are being named after the journey of the Mahabharata. Paintings of the Mahabharata period are being done throughout the city. The devotees and visitors coming from this will experience the exciting events of that era vividly.
On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Information, Public Relations and Language Department Dr. Amit Kumar, Agarwal, Director General of the department Mr. K. Makrand Pandurang, Media Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Praveen Atre and many officials of the Kurukshetra Development Board were present.
