Mumbai: Aviation safety regulator DGCA has directed embattled IndiGo's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Peter Albers to appear in its office on Thursday and submit a complete report, comprehensive data and updates related to the recent operational disruptions. This information was given in a statement on Wednesday.
Albers has been asked to appear in the DGCA office at 3 pm on Thursday. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation also said that the CEO has been directed to attend the meeting along with senior officials of all the concerned departments.
As per the regulator's order, the airline has been asked to submit information on flight resumption, recruitment plan of pilots and crew, current strength status of pilots and cabin crew, number of cancelled flights and refund process, etc. A committee has been appointed to probe the massive disruptions in services.
The four-member committee has been mandated to identify the root causes behind the operational glitches. It includes Joint DG Sanjay Brahmane, Deputy Director General Amit Gupta, Senior Flight Operations Inspector Kapil Manglik, and FOI Lokesh Rampal.
