Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee forms subcommittees
Jalandhar:- In a special meeting of the general body of Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, the Board of Trust was reconstituted and sub-committees were formed to discharge special responsibilities of various important tasks.
Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee President Kulwant Singh Sandhu and General Secretary Gurmeet Singh, while informing the press about the decisions taken unanimously in the general body meeting, said that Amolak Singh was made the convener of the cultural wing, Charanji Lal Kanganiwal the convener of the history committee, Harvinder Bhandal the convener of the library committee, Surinder Kumari Kochhar the convener of the museum committee, and Ranjit Singh Aulakh the convener of the audit and supervision committee.
It is noteworthy that the various committees formed under the leadership of these conveners will hold their meetings in the near future to plan the work of their respective areas and prepare a proposed framework to make the working efficiency of the committees effective so that activities and suitable projects can be taken up in the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall within the prescribed framework and approved guidelines of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee.
These committees will jointly meet the support circle of these committees like every year on the occasion of the arrival of the new year and seek their cooperation for the success of the activities in the future. It was also decided that a special function will be held in the month of February to discuss and deliberate on the special activities of the next year.
The meeting began with the farewell of Sufi singer and Ghadri Babas' festival honoree Puran Shahkoti, Pragan Singh Tota Raipur Dabba of the Revolutionary Democratic Movement, Dr. Labh Singh Raja Sahib, and Chandan Singh, brother of Bhupinder Singh Malhi, who lives in Canada.
