Garhshankar/Hoshiarpur, 6 January 2026:- Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker and MLA from Garhshankar constituency, Mr. Jai Krishan Singh Raudi, today formally inaugurated the newly constructed link roads of various villages of the constituency—Ghagon Roranwali, Bhamian, Mehtabpur, Dugri, Garhi Matto, Pahlewal, Birampur, Sadhowal, Sauli, Purkhowal, Rampur Billo, Salempur, Satnaur, Pakhowal, Padrana, Badesron, Akalgarha, Goli, Bhajjal, Lallian, Kalewal, Monowal, Rawalpindi, Fatehpur Kala, Denowal Kala and Dogarpur.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Deputy Speaker Raudi said that link roads of villages are the backbone for the progress of villages. The construction of these roads will make the traffic in the villages smoother. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is fully committed to providing basic facilities to the villages on the lines of cities.
The Deputy Speaker said that the completion of the link roads of these 28 villages will facilitate the farmers in taking their crops to the markets, students will have easy access to schools and colleges and the common people will save both time and money. He said that strong roads are not only a symbol of development, but also play an important role in strengthening the economy of the villages.
He also said that the Punjab government is taking special care of quality during the construction of roads, in this regard, he gave strict instructions to the officials of the concerned department that no negligence will be tolerated in the development works and every work should be done in a transparent manner.
Deputy Speaker Raudi said that development works are continuing continuously in Garhshankar constituency. Be it education, health facilities, water, electricity or roads - the needs of the people are being met on priority in every sector. The main objective of the government is to ensure that every resident of the village gets the direct benefit of development.
During the function, the local people and village representatives specially thanked Deputy Speaker Raudi and said that the demand for link roads was being made for many years, which has been fulfilled today.
Finally, Deputy Speaker Mr. Raudi said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is working with determination to fulfill every promise made to the people and Garhshankar constituency will be made a model constituency in terms of development.
On this occasion, Market Committee Chairman Mr. Baldeep Singh Saini, Zila Parishad Member Mr. Inderjit Singh Bariana, Dr. Harbhajan Mehmi, Block Committee Member Dr. Paramjit Pal, Manjit Kaur, Sarpanch Mr. Jujhar Singh Nagra, Numberdar Mr. Hari Krishan Singh Gangar and Sarpanch, Panch, party leaders, officials and a large number of villagers were present.
