Una, October 17 - In a commendable initiative to encourage sports talent in Una district, Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal presented a complete cricket kit to local player Ankush on Friday. CPO Una Sanjay Sankhyan was also present on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal informed that Ankush will be participating in the National Cricket Tournament organized by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association, to be held in Delhi from November 3 to 9. Selected to represent Himachal Pradesh, Ankush will showcase his talent in this prestigious tournament.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that it is crucial to provide proper direction, guidance, and support to the hidden sporting talent in youth. He said that players like Ankush are an inspiration to society, pursuing their dreams despite difficult circumstances.
Ankush expressed his gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal for the gift of the cricket kit and said that this support is a great inspiration for him. He vowed to play with full dedication and commitment so that he could bring glory to Una district and Himachal Pradesh at the national level.
It is worth noting that Ankush is a resident of Santoshgarh in Una subdivision and he will participate in the Deaf National Cricket Tournament to be held in Delhi (3 to 9 November).
