Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal Holds Review Meeting on Shravan Ashtami Fair Arrangements

Shri Chintpurni/Una, August 17: Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal reviewed the arrangements made for the convenience and safety of pilgrims during the ongoing Shravan Ashtami fair at Mata Shri Chintpurni today (Monday) at Mai Das Sadan. During the meeting, he conducted a detailed review of the measures taken by the administration for the successful and smooth conduct of the fair and issued necessary directives to officials to further improve the arrangements.
Following the review meeting, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Mata Shri Chintpurni temple complex and assessed the arrangements made for pilgrims at Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 2. He instructed the concerned officials to ensure the deployment of adequate police personnel at both gates so that pilgrims could have a smooth and organized *darshan* (viewing of the deity) through the designated queue system. He emphasized that the safety of pilgrims is the top priority and that no negligence should occur at any level in this regard.
The Deputy Commissioner also issued instructions for the effective management of traffic and parking to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims within the fair area. He directed that large vehicles be parked only at designated parking sites to prevent unnecessary crowding and traffic disruptions on main roads and pedestrian paths, ensuring pilgrims do not face any inconvenience while walking.
Jatin Lal also reviewed other essential facilities in the fair area. He directed the concerned departments to ensure continuous monitoring of all arrangements during the fair and to take immediate action as required. He instructed all officials to work in coordination with one another and to act with full promptness to provide better facilities to the pilgrims. He noted that a large number of pilgrims are arriving to seek blessings at the Mata Shri Chintpurni temple during the Shravan Ashtami fair, and the district administration's objective is to provide a safe, smooth, and organized environment for them. SDM Amb Paras Agarwal, ASP Una Ajay Rana, DSP Amb Anil Patial, and Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple Officer Sanjeev Prabhakar, among others, were present on the occasion.
