Deputy Commissioner informed the Election Commission about the election arrangements
Una, 20 May- District Election Officer Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that all necessary arrangements have been made as per the instructions of the Election Commission regarding the Lok Sabha general elections and 2 assembly by-elections in Una district. The administrative staff is working diligently to provide basic facilities at the polling stations and to ensure free, fair and transparent elections. The District Election Officer gave this information while participating in the online meeting organized by the Election Commission Delhi to review the election preparations. During this time, Superintendent of Police Una Rakesh Singh was also present with him in the NIC room of the Deputy Commissioner's office.
The District Election Officer said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the departure of polling parties in the district. A complete plan has been prepared in this regard. He informed that the two-phase randomization process of EVMs and VVPATs used in elections has been completed. Their commissioning work will be done between 23rd and 25th May. He gave detailed information about the entire system related to election management including postal ballot, home voting facility, training of election personnel and establishment of voting facility centers for them.
He informed that the first training workshop for election personnel has been organized from 25th to 28th April. The second workshop will be held on 23-24 May, while the third training workshop will be held on 30 and 31 May.

Jatin Lal said that there are a total of 4 lakh 33 thousand 129 voters in the district including 6671 service voters. Among these, there are 2 lakh, 14 thousand 95 women, 2 lakh 19 thousand 30 men and 4 transgender voters.
There are a total of 84 thousand 212 voters in Chintpurni assembly constituency, out of which 41 thousand 146 are female, 43 thousand 65 are male voters and 1 is transgender voter. Whereas in Gagret Vis there are 84 thousand 316 voters, out of which 41 thousand 660 are female and 42 thousand 656 are male voters. There are 89 thousand 258 voters in Haroli Vis, out of which 44 thousand 273 are female and 44 thousand 985 are male voters. There are 87 thousand 650 voters in Una Vis, out of which 43 thousand 386 are female, 44 thousand 262 are male and 2 are transgender voters. There are 87 thousand 693 voters in Kutlahar, out of which 43 thousand 630 are female, 44 thousand 62 are male and 1 transgender voter.
Police teams are continuously monitoring - Superintendent of Police
At the same time, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh gave information about inter-state and intra-state checkpoints in the district. He said that half the CAPF contingent will be deployed at each of the 51 critical polling stations in the district. He said that in view of the elections, police teams are continuously monitoring. Every activity is being closely monitored.
