Nawanshahr:- After assuming office today, the new Deputy Commissioner of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District, Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, paid homage at the memorial of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh at Khatkar Kalan. On this occasion, apart from offering floral garlands at the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam, he also paid homage at the memorial of his father Sardar Kishan Singh. During this, he also visited the museum.
On this occasion, he said that he was very happy to come to the land of Khatkar Kalan. He said that he is fortunate that he has got the opportunity to serve in this holy land of Shaheed-e-Azam in the district. He said that it is due to the sacrifices of the martyrs that today we are breathing in freedom.
He said that by upholding the thoughts of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, he will serve the people of the district day and night and will work with full dedication to take the district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar to the heights of progress. Apart from SDM Banga Vipan Bhandari, other officers were also present on this occasion.
