Una, December 30:- Today, District Election Officer (DC) Una, Mr. Jatin Lal, IAS, conducted a quarterly inspection of the district-level EVM/VVPAT warehouse. This inspection is mandatory every three months, as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India. According to the Commission's guidelines, the warehouse is opened and its contents are inspected during this process.
To ensure transparency in the inspection process, the presence of representatives from recognized political parties is required. Accordingly, representatives from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress were present at the time of the inspection. In addition, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Una, the Naib Tehsildar (Elections), and the District Fire Officer were also present during the inspection.
During the inspection, the security arrangements of the warehouse, the sealing process, the logbook, and the records were thoroughly examined. The entire inspection process was conducted peacefully, transparently, and satisfactorily, in accordance with the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
