Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri paid obeisance at the Chintpurni Temple
Una, October 15 – Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri visited the world-renowned Shaktipeeth Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple on Wednesday. He offered his daughter's wedding invitation card at the feet of Mata Rani and extended an invitation to the 'Aashirwad Utsav'.
His daughter, Dr. Aastha Agnihotri, and his future son-in-law, SDM Amb Sachin Sharma, were also present on the occasion. He performed the ritualistic worship at the temple, paid obeisance, offered oblations in the sacred havan, and prayed for everyone's happiness, prosperity, good health, and peace.
He informed that a grand building construction and beautification work is underway at the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple at a cost of approximately ?250 crore. For the convenience of devotees, the 'Sugam Darshan System' has been implemented since August 8, 2023, streamlining crowd management and providing special facilities to the elderly and disabled. Additionally, digital services such as online langar booking and online darshan have also been launched.
The Deputy Chief Minister stated that an approval of ?56.26 crore has been granted for the Mata Shri Chintpurni Temple under the 'Prasad Yojana', strengthening religious tourism and spiritual heritage. To maintain the purity of traditional worship practices, the temple trust's priests were also provided online training from Banaras Hindu University in February 2025.
He stated that the state government is fully committed to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. The government's objective is to provide excellent facilities to devotees, maintain the dignity of traditional worship practices, and develop temples in a digital and systematic manner.
