Deputy Chief Minister inaugurates Badhera Panchayat Community Center

Una, January 29: Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday formally inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Community Center in Badhera Gram Panchayat of Haroli assembly constituency. A total of Rs 1.14 crore was provided by the Deputy Chief Minister for the construction of this community center, of which the building construction work has been completed in the first phase at a cost of approximately Rs 50 lakh, while the construction of the second floor will be done in the second phase.
On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that a strong infrastructure at the panchayat level is the real backbone of rural development. He appreciated the development works carried out in the panchayat through mutual cooperation and said that collective participation accelerates the all-round development of the area.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that so far approximately 300 tube wells have been installed to ensure a better water supply system in the Haroli area. An amount of about Rs 100 crore will be spent on the remodeling of these tube wells. In addition, the Vibhor Sahib water scheme will also be remodeled at a cost of Rs 135 crore, which will further strengthen the water supply system of the area.
Mr. Agnihotri said that with the aim of promoting tourism, a ropeway project will be started near the rest house in Vanakhandi area of ??Pandoga at a cost of approximately Rs 10 crore. This ropeway will be built from the Hoshiarpur border to Pandoga, for which the tender process will be started soon.
He informed that an MSME Technology Center will be established in the Pandoga industrial area at a cost of Rs 10 crore, which will be started in the Community Center building located in Pandoga. In addition, a tool room will be constructed in Bathu at a cost of Rs 18 crore. An amount of Rs 4 crore will be spent on strengthening the power supply infrastructure in the Tahliwal area.
SDRF office to open in Palakwah in the next 15 days
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that the office of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) will be established in the Skill Development Institute building in Palakwah within the next 15 days. This will give new impetus to development works in the region and also strengthen the disaster management system.
Haroli to become the country's first fully CCTV-monitored assembly constituency
Mr. Agnihotri said that CCTV cameras are being installed in the Haroli assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 5 crore. Cameras will be installed at every turn, street, and intersection, making Haroli the first assembly constituency in the country to be fully equipped with CCTV surveillance. This will effectively curb crime and realize the goal of a safe and developed Haroli.
He informed that the construction of various bridges in the Haroli assembly constituency is also underway at a cost of Rs 132 crore.

**Roda area is becoming a new development destination
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Roda area is rapidly emerging as a new development destination. A traffic park, an automatic testing center at a cost of Rs 5 crore, a heliport at a cost of Rs 13.50 crore, and a running track at a cost of Rs 10 crore are being constructed here. He said that upon completion of all these projects, the Roda area will establish itself as a modern and developed city.

**Revolutionary work in the water sector
He informed that water storage tanks with a capacity of 50 lakh liters in Polian and 25 lakh liters in Dullehra have been completed, while a tank with a capacity of 25 lakh liters at a height of 25 meters is under construction in Amrali.
In addition, work is progressing on the 'Beet Area Phase-2' lift irrigation scheme at a cost of Rs 75 crore.
Under this scheme, water will be lifted from the Swan River to provide irrigation facilities to approximately 50,000 kanals of land in 28 villages of the Beet and Palakwah areas. He said that through these schemes, significant progress has been made towards making Haroli 100% self-sufficient in drinking water and irrigation facilities by the year 2027.

**Empowerment of women through the expansion of education
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the extensive changes in the field of education in the Haroli region have benefited women the most. After Himcaps Law College and Nursing College in Badhera, an Ayurveda college is now being established.
He said that when he first became an MLA, there were only educational facilities up to the eighth grade in Badhera, but today, the strength of education here is such that the girls studying here are becoming judges, lawyers, nurses, and doctors. This is a strong example of the significant changes that have taken place in the education sector.

**Sports infrastructure also strengthened**
The Deputy Chief Minister informed that modern high-mast floodlights, installed at a cost of Rs 47 lakh, have been inaugurated at the outdoor stadium in Khadd village, which will facilitate the organization of nighttime sports activities and competitions. In addition, work is also underway towards the construction of a large stadium in Nangal Khurd.
Referring to the beautification of Jhalera and Ghaluwal squares, he urged the local people to resolve the land dispute through mutual coordination for the construction of a square in Saloh as well. He said that a beautiful square would be developed there with the installation of a grand statue of Maharana Pratap, on which approximately Rs 60 to 65 lakh would be spent.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that sufficient funds have also been provided for the development of religious sites in the area. Rs. 71 lakh has been allocated for the Shri Guru Ravidas Temple in Bhadsali, and Rs. 25 lakh each for the temples in Baliwal and Lalri. In addition, funds have been provided for the development of many other religious places.

Panchayat member Rajkumar thanked the Deputy Chief Minister for the numerous development projects received in the village panchayat.
