Dengue awareness volunteers conduct doortodoor survey make people aware

Hoshiarpur:- Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, a dengue prevention campaign is being continuously run across the district. Under this campaign, dengue awareness volunteers are conducting door-to-door survey in Hoshiarpur and making people aware about dengue prevention, maintaining cleanliness and eliminating mosquito breeding grounds.
During the survey, volunteers are checking water tanks, coolers, the back tray of the fridge, flower pots and other such places in the houses, where there is a possibility of water accumulation and mosquitoes that spread dengue can breed.
Apart from this, people are being motivated to observe a ‘dry day’ once a week, not to let water stagnate and to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings. Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain appealed to the district residents that people's cooperation is very important for prevention of dengue.
She appealed to the people not to let water stagnate in their homes and surrounding areas and to cooperate in the campaign being run by the health department and the administration. Ashika Jain clarified that awareness and caution are the most effective measures for prevention of dengue and this campaign will continue continuously.
